What requirements do you have to fulfil?
- if you are a Swiss citizen or have a right of residence in Switzerland
- if you have been sentenced to a fine by a governor or city judge in the canton of Zurich
How do you proceed?
You can visit our contact point during opening hours without registratin.
If you live in the canton of Zurich:
Submit your request personally at Bussenanlaufstelle within the payment period and bring the following documents with you:
-› penalty order(s)
-› a valid Swiss identity card or your valid foreigner identity card
-› any evidence of your financial situation
If you do not live in the canton of Zurich:
Contact Bewährungs- und Vollzugsdienste Zürich by phone on 043 258 36 70.
What happens at the Bussenanlaufstelle?
- We check whether you meet the requirements for community work
- We plan and organize charitable work together with you and work with you to draw up a corresponding agreement
- We will contact the fine office, if necessary we will interrupt the collection of the fines
We also support you in applying for charitable work for fines from other cantons and will provide you with information on questions about civil and criminal claims.

Recycling-Werkstatt
Active assistance in the professional dismantling of disused electrical devices and preparation for environmentally friendly disposal or recycling. This work takes place in the recycling workshop of Werkraum4.
Atelier
In the Atelier of Werkraum4 you can help, under professional guidance, to produce various special sales items from various recycling materials. These products are sold in many shops in Switzerland or online via our labels recyclingArt or lerski.
Velo-Station
At the Werkraum4 bicycle station, disused bicycles are dismantled into individual parts under professional supervision or repaired for resale. The individual parts are sorted, packaged and prepared for shipment to bike shops in Africa. We work together with our cooperation partner Velafrica.
